Marketplace Rules and Listing Standards
These Rules apply to all dealers, sellers, and authorized agents who list vehicles on the Cars4Sure marketplace. The purpose is to maintain trust, accuracy, quality, and safety within the Cars4Sure ecosystem.
1. Purpose
The Cars4Sure marketplace is the entry point into the larger Cars4Sure ecosystem. These Rules protect buyers, protect Cars4Sure, and preserve platform trust.
All dealers must follow these Rules. Cars4Sure may enforce them at any time.
2. Eligibility to List a Vehicle
Dealers must:
- Hold all valid licenses
- Operate legally under state and local laws
- Provide accurate business information
- Complete Cars4Sure onboarding and verification
Cars4Sure may request business documents, photos, or identification at any time. Unauthorized listings are not permitted.
3. Listing Accuracy Requirements
Dealers must provide accurate and complete information. The following details must be true and reflect the actual vehicle:
Listings must not contain false or misleading information.
4. Real Photos Only
Dealers must upload real, unedited photos of the actual vehicle.
Cars4Sure does not allow:
- Stock images
- Images pulled from the internet
- Edited photos that hide damage
- Unclear or low-quality photos
- Photos of similar or different vehicles
Cars4Sure may reject or remove listings with questionable images.
5. No Bait Listings
Dealers may not:
- Post vehicles that are sold or unavailable
- List cars at artificially low prices to attract leads
- Switch the vehicle once the buyer makes contact
- Use the marketplace to redirect buyers to unrelated inventory
This is strictly enforced.
6. Pricing Standards
Dealers must disclose:
- Full vehicle price
- All mandatory dealer fees
- Reconditioning fees
- Add-on packages
- Dealer-installed accessories
Hidden or surprise fees are not allowed. The price shown on Cars4Sure must match the price given to the buyer.
7. Availability Standards
Dealers must remove or update listings when:
- A vehicle is sold
- A vehicle is no longer available
- The condition has changed
- The mileage has significantly increased
Dealers must update availability within 24 hours.
8. Required Disclosures
Dealers must disclose known issues, including:
- Accident damage
- Water or fire damage
- Branded or salvage title
- Structural repairs
- Odometer rollback
- Known mechanical issues
- Failing emissions
- Airbag deployment
- Open recalls
Failure to disclose is a violation.
9. Communication Rules
Dealers must communicate:
- Honestly
- Professionally
- Without harassment
- Without misleading statements
- Without pressure tactics
Dealers may not:
- Ignore buyers
- Ghost leads
- Demand off-platform communication
- Request personal information outside the platform
- Discourage inspections
Cars4Sure may review communication logs at any time.
10. Lead Handling Rules
Dealers agree to:
- Respond to leads promptly
- Provide accurate information
- Honor pricing displayed
- Keep communication within platform guidelines
Dealers may not:
- Attempt to bypass Cars4Sure lead fees
- Mark Cars4Sure-generated buyers as walk-ins
- Misrepresent sold or available status
- Redirect users to off-platform systems to avoid tracking
Cars4Sure tracks lead attribution and may audit dealer activity.
11. Inspection Cooperation
Dealers must:
- Allow Cars4Sure inspectors reasonable access
- Provide vehicle keys and location access
- Ensure the vehicle is available and safe
- Avoid influencing or pressuring inspectors
Dealers must not:
- Hide defects
- Alter vehicle condition before inspection
- Provide misleading information
- Refuse access without valid reason
Obstruction may lead to suspension.
12. Misrepresentation and Fraud
Dealers may not:
- Falsify vehicle information
- Alter odometers
- Provide fake documents
- Misrepresent pricing or features
- List vehicles they do not own
- Attempt to trick inspectors or buyers
Fraud leads to immediate removal and permanent ban.
13. Cars4Sure Enforcement Rights
Cars4Sure may enforce the Rules at its discretion. Cars4Sure may:
- Remove listings
- Reject listings
- Block posting
- Restrict lead flow
- Suspend dealer accounts
- Terminate dealer access
- Investigate suspicious activity
- Request documents or proof
- Review communication logs
- Audit lead and listing data
Enforcement may occur without prior notice.
14. Data and Listing Retention
Cars4Sure may store:
- Removed listings
- Photos
- Messages
- Inspection data
- Lead attribution logs
- Dealer interaction logs
Retention is for:
- Fraud prevention
- Audits
- Dispute resolution
- Legal compliance
- Platform integrity
- Analytics
Dealers may not request deletion of data tied to fraud or disputes.
15. Dealer Responsibility
Dealers are solely responsible for:
- The condition of vehicles
- Disclosures required by law
- Paperwork and title transfer
- Pricing and accuracy
- Their employees and agents
- Buyer communication
- Legal compliance
Cars4Sure does not assume dealership responsibilities.
16. Buyer Responsibility
Buyers are responsible for:
- Personal due diligence
- Inspecting vehicles in person
- Reviewing inspection reports
- Confirming all pricing
- Verifying paperwork
Cars4Sure does not guarantee condition or accuracy of listings.
17. Platform Integrity Rules
Dealers may not:
- Hack or manipulate the platform
- Scrape Cars4Sure data
- Create fake leads
- Misuse Cars4Sure branding
- Upload malware
- Operate multiple accounts to evade enforcement
Violation results in immediate action.
18. Final Provisions
Dealers accept these Rules when:
- Creating an account
- Submitting a listing
- Responding to a lead
- Communicating through the platform
- Using any dealer tools
Cars4Sure may update these Rules at any time. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
